Our History

America The Beautiful Dreamer was founded in 1970 by the Thompson family on Main Street in Vancouver, Washington. Originally a clothing and records store, our business transitioned to furniture after having success carrying waterbeds in the 80's. The franchise quickly grew to nearly 50 stores across the Pacific Northwest. During the subprime mortgage crises of 2007-2010, the business shifted to focusing on wholesale and closed all retail locations.

Now we’ve opened our distribution center to the public and retail our collections at wholesale prices. As of 2025, we have celebrated our 55th year as a family owned and locally operated furniture supply store.

We strive to offer unique home furnishings at exceptional values. Almost all of our collections are kept in-stock and ready to load out on the same day as purchase.
